This policy covers russtotherescue.com, run by Russ Greene, doing business as Russ to the Rescue, based in Mendham, New Jersey. "I" and "me" mean Russ.

What I collect

• What you send me. Your name, email, phone number, organization and anything you write when you email, call, text or book a time with me.
• Chat messages. What you type into "ask russ," the assistant on this site.
• Basic technical information. Like most websites, the services that host this site may automatically record things like your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, mainly to keep the site running and secure.

The calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter there is sent to me.

How I use it

• To answer your questions and follow up when you've asked me to.
• To schedule and prepare for our conversations.
• To do the work we agree on, and to send invoices and project updates.
• To keep this website working and secure.

I don't sell your information, rent it, or share it with advertisers.

About "ask russ"

"ask russ" is an AI assistant, not a person. To write its replies, your messages are sent to Anthropic, the company that makes the Claude AI model, through a small service hosted by Cloudflare. They process your messages under their own privacy terms. The assistant can't see anything else about you, and it isn't set up to save your conversation.

Please don't share passwords, financial account details, or private information about your donors or clients in the chat. If you'd like to talk about anything sensitive, text or call me directly.

Services I rely on

A few trusted providers help me run this site and my business, and they only receive what they need to do their part:

• Cloudflare hosts this website and the chat service.
• Anthropic powers the "ask russ" assistant.
• My scheduling tool handles booking when you pick a time on my calendar.
• My email and phone providers carry the messages, calls and texts we exchange.

I may also share information if the law requires it.

Texts

I'll only text you if you've texted me first or asked me to. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP anytime and I'll stop texting you.

Cookies

This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. It remembers one small thing in your browser for your current visit, so the chat's "Got a question?" reminder only appears once.

How long I keep things

I keep emails, texts and project records for as long as we're working together and for a reasonable time after, for things like taxes and follow-up questions. Then I delete them.

Your choices

You can ask me to show you what I have about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hi at russtotherescue dot com or call or text (908) 340-7626, and I'll take care of it.

Children

This site is for nonprofit staff and volunteers, not children. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If I change this policy, I'll update it here and change the date at the top.
